The 27th edition of “Milano Unica”, reference exposure of textile industry, presented the Fall-Winter 2019/2020 trends under the theme "Nations to Nations".
Social media contributed to connect people from all over the world and therefore to expand their way of thinking and living. Without losing their own traditions, we are witnessing transformations. Nowadays, it is difficult to identify a person or a fabric. Although while maintaining their respective origins, integration if thoughtful and therefore peaceful, leads to enrichment and then to an evolution or to a creative change.
In the same way, the fabrics, even if they are already printed, are modified and enriched with sophisticated decorations. The barriers of the countries fall where national features of fabrics and fibres are shuffled. Identities get confused and lost, sometimes they hide only.
The minds open, so frontiers and manufacturing excellences of different countries get mixed in order to evolve and reach another and even higher level of creativity, born through sharing.
Now the priority is to research natural primarily, and ecological fabrics, with particular attention to their possibility of reuse and recycling of materials. The sustainability is not an opinion; it is a Must.
